Reviews
Poetry Reading
“The wonderful Marianne Berghuis shared two of her poems in a powerful reading that wove a true poetic narrative of the burning times, that are relevant in a world where women are still being persecuted as witches. Each line hammered home truths. Each line was a sonnet in words for those who had suffered for the crime of witchcraft. Be in no doubt, that women’s words and voices hold power.
Thank you, Marianne, for your poetic presence on that night.”
Writing Workshops
“If you think you may like to take up writing – even if it’s just a wee bit of journaling, I can highly recommend Marianne’s workshop. You will surprise yourself. What you end up writing about is moving, hopeful and authentic. You will discover a creativity within yourself that you never imagined existed.”
Course Participant – ‘Writing for Wellbeing.’
Such a refreshingly different approach to creative writing. Focusing content on well-being was wonderful and not something I’ve done before and will certainly explore in the future in my own writing. I very much enjoyed the imaginative use of inspirational prompts (heart cards, objects, doorways). Sharing of resources was great with book lists, quotes and poetry. So much useful content in the workshop that will be used for a long time after. There was nothing I didn’t enjoy about the course it was all very enjoyable.
